FISITA is the world body for automotive engineering. We are a federation of the major engineering societies in 38 countries working together to exchange technical knowledge on all aspects of vehicle design and manufacture. FISITA’s mission is to help create efficient, affordable, safe and sustainable automotive transportation. We do this by providing a global forum for dialogue between engineers, industry, government, academia, environmental and standards organisations.

We are a non-profit, non-governmental organisation – controlled by the engineering profession and supported by the global automotive industry.

The biennial FISITA World Automotive Congress is recognised as the leading international forum for the exchange of knowledge in all areas of automotive technology, attracting thousands of engineers, scientists and executives. Between congresses, we support the professional development of engineers by providing the latest technical information in the form of meetings, papers, on-line resources and the official FISITA magazine – ATZautotechnology.

FISITA is also committed to supporting the education and training of students and young engineers through initiatives such as the FISITA Student Congress, our Travel Bursary Programme and supporting national student formula competitions
