After two editions of the “Hydrogen Concept Challenge”, we will now allow Hydrogen cars for the first time at the 2025 competition! There will be three slots reserved for cars powered by Hydrogen, either by Fuel Cell (competing together with the normal EV class) or Hydrogen Combustion (competing together with normal CV and Hybrid cars).

Note: Hydrogen-Combustion can be combined with Hybrid

Hydrogen Rules 2025 Version 1.0

We have given incentives and removed some limits in order to achieve a “balance of performance” with the non-Hydrogen classes. Please write us your feedback to these Rules to  until November 16th so that it can be implemented and discussed in the FS4A Event which will take place on November 23rd  – details will follow.

FS Austria announces important Rules changes for 2025:

As a reaction to systems seen this year, we will completely ban actively powered aerodynamic systems for FS Austria 2025 and beyond. The intent of the rule is to ban “power ground effect” systems. Reason: we have not been able to find a way to properly regulate these systems while at the same time keeping the additional effort in Scrutineering to an acceptable level. The new rules will still allow normal cooling fans, details will follow.

There are no significant Rules changes specific to CV and Hybrid – this class will remain at FS Austria for as long as there is demand from the teams. We are working on the addition of hydrogen combustion and the implementation of E-Fuels.

Other Rules changes will be published as “FS Rules 2025 version 1.0” in the upcoming weeks on the FSG homepage as usual.

To guarantee optimal usage of our campground facilities, we offer some teams to use a dedicated “silent camping” area:

It is part of the same camping with the same ticket. It will be located directly north, across the road. Music or party of any kind will not be tolerated there, benefiting those who prefer a calmer stay.  This may be used by the whole team or part of the team.

As with all the camping spaces, it is “first come, first serve”, so the final spots will be distributed at the event.
