In compliance with its CLEAN MOBILITY strategy, the Styrian automotive cluster ACstyria will award the most efficient and eco-friendly race cars together with Magna Steyr and Magna Powertrain. The award will be given in two categories:

• ECO Design sponsored by Magna Steyr (Head Judge: Ingo Crillovich-Cocoglia)
• ECO Powertrains sponsored by Magna Powertrain (Head Judge: Gerhard Eibler)

This year, no Russian team made it to Austria, but they will be able get their taste of FSA nevertheless.

As part of the international cooperation between FS events, FSA will send some of their senior staff to the first ever Russian FS event in September.  They will assist the local organizers in providing a great experience to the mostly Russian teams competing on an airfield near Moscow.

On Tuesday, the 8th of April FSA was invited to join the ranks of the Austrian FS Teams to present itself during the ÖVK lecture “Students build a race car – the Austrian FS Teams introduce themselves”. Our part of the presentation dealt with the history of formula student and introduced the listeners to the general concept of FS and the structure of an event like FSA.

Afterwards the Austrian FS Teams from Graz and Vienna presented their latest achievements in Aerodynamics, Electronics and Composite Technology.

A special treat was the location: the grand ballroom in the “Haus der Industrie” (“House of Industry”), built at the beginning of the 20th century, is a very ostentatious scene, and is also the filming site for the popular (in Austria) TV show “Wir sind Kaiser” (“We are emperor”). The building also contains one of the last few usable Paternoster-type elevators (also >100 years old!) which we of course took a ride in.

Following this announcement ALL EV teams, except those with TOP, WILDC and AUT slots will be deregistered, including those on the waiting list.
The Quiz process, as mentioned in the “Registration Procedure” document in the rules section will be repeated from Step 2. (with 7 day offset, of course)
Only teams that took part in the original quiz will be eligible (and able) to partake in the rerun.
After the Quiz is over and the site with the results is restored, all other EV teams will be able to register manually without taking the quiz.
The Quiz questions will be about the FSAE & FSA Rules, as well as engineering questions related to all fields surrounding an electric FS car.
