We are very sorry to announce that FSA 2020 will be cancelled, for two major reasons:
One: We don’t think it would be responsible to give any incentive to the students to continue to get together working on the cars. Also, the pandemic situation is very different for the individual competitors, giving major disadvantages to some.
Two: For us as well as teams with more elaborate travel plans it is currently impossible to foresee the situation in the coming weeks, let alone months, which would make major investments – financial and otherwise – stand on very brittle legs; a situation which we would like to avoid.
There will be a more thorough announcement by the end of the month (we still have to figure out the details and coordinate) but right now we can tell you two things:
- you can stop working and planning for FSA 2020
- we are working together with all the other European organizers to make sure the resources you put into the project so far are not lost.
